The Tiospaye Wagluonihan (I am honoring the community) Scholarship began in 2012 with two scholarships totaling $750. Our hope is to eventually endow this scholarship for Little Wound High School students and increase both the number and amount of the awards.
This new scholarship for graduating seniors from Little Wound High School includes two awards:
A $250 scholarship, awarded to a student who has been admitted to and plans to attend a 2-year or 4-year college.
A $500 scholarship, awarded to a student who has been admitted to and plans to attend a 4-year college more than 150 miles from Kyle.
Preference will be given to students who:
Demonstrate a commitment to academics and their community through the pursuit of challenging courses, their success in these courses, their attendance, and their sustained participation in one or more school or community activities.
Articulate a vision for their future and how their pursuit of higher education will help their family, community, people, nation, or world.
Have financial need.
